Compatible except for a few issues, most notably that some important shield rechargers don't work in Aleph One. I'm not sure if they should be considered bugs in the map file, or in AO's ability to parse it.
To get perfect accuracy, you could try run the original M1 version under an emulator, but AO is probably a lot easier to set up.
