In Response To: Weapon discrepancies... (LegacyTyphoon)

Since this is something I specialize in, I'll throw in my two cents' worth.

: Magnum: saftey lock near trigger
: slide release on one side
: slider grip (on back of slider...makes grabbing slider easier when you're
: coking the weapon...)
: clip release switch
: hammer (although it is vacuum capable...so it may all be internal...)

Slide catch on the left side, up-down safety lever behind that. Serrations on the back of the slide are pretty much a given. Magazine release (not clip release, since this isn't an M1 Garand) is the little button at the base of the trigger guard. External hammer is fine, since vacuum capability in this case doesn't require the weapon being internally sealed.

: AR: safety lock near trigger
: bolt-slider on top w/ shell opening above clip (may be hidden by the metal
: shielding above barrel...)
: second trigger for grenade launcher (maybe...)

Probably better to put the charging handle on the side rather than the top. Either side is fine; FALs and G3s have it on the left, while AKs have it on the right. Make sure to keep the ejection port on the right side. A second trigger for the grenade launcher is probably the way to go, a la the M41A.

: Shotgun: textured wood
: safety above trigger
: hammer on back
: otherwise looks like your standard WSTE-M5

Make that double hammers, since one hammer striking two shells is less mechanically sound. Wood grip is rather unlikely, given that there aren't any trees within seventy-seven lightyears. Brown plastic would probably work better.

: SMG: safety near trigger
: shell opening
: bolt slider on top

The KKV-7 is based on the real H&K MP5SD, so take a gander at that and see how it looks. Again, put the ejection port on the right side and don't put the charging handle on top; it interferes with the sights and few designs have it in such a place nowdays.

And the most important lesson: don't ever use Counter-Strike as an example.
