In Response To: Lighting tips (Aaron Sikes)

: Does anyone have / know of a guide for lighting a map? The barebones
: walkthrough in the Forge tutorial is helpful, but...

: Tips, suggestions?

"Realistic" lighting (where all the shades make sense in a "the sun is shining in this direction, so this must be in shadow") doesn't work well in the Marathon universe. Use shading to bring out map details, or to make boring stretches of wall or floor interesting. Otherwise, I don't use it much. The section on differential shading in Hastur's Workshop is about all you need to know.
