In Response To: Re: Open letter to the Forum: Map tips *LINK* (FullDiaper) : It's not 100% true, Chris, just like Treellama explained me, you should NOT
I'm using a five year old mac, and I have maps that were made without any concideration to any in-game limits at all (as long as I was able to actually work on the map without crashing the Classic mode) - and no crashes. The only severe slowdowns I experienced involved long views with high-resolution landscapes - and I solved that by setting the landscapes to 50% resolution. Haven't experienced any problems with the weapons either. And again - I'm doing this on a five year old mac. B) : My advice: stay with Forge limits, if you really, really need to go over them
Well, in the not too distant future, many people (hopefully) will be running around on maps that blow these limits out of the water. One way or the other, we'll know what happens when those limits are exceeded.
