LOL. I will never be dissatisfied with The Marathon Infinity/AlephOne engine. People, please do not ream me for saying this, but the AlephOne Engine is a dying breed. It is not very widely known, and on top of that niether is the Marathon series itself. The entire Goal of this project is to intrudice Marathon to the Half-Life generation of gamers (we are talking total 3-D graphics here, not just 2.5-D (2-D sprites, 3-D maps)), and at least give the Marathon Series a slightly longer life. It would be nice to see this game in Valve's Source Engine because it will give it a fresh, crisp 3-D look to the series.
I also know that some of the regulars in these forums worked on the Unreal Tournament: Game Of the Year Edition mod, Marathon:Ressurection, for which single player mode has only Original Marathon's Demo Version maps, but the Multiplayer is complete(I dont think it would be wise to try the single player idea, it would take even more time). The team who did this is known as Team Unphorgiven. The Last update was version 1.3 and the only new news about it is for some improved textures. I hope to take this a step further.
