Like Duality, or a Marathon sequel : trilogy. Naaah...if the game was popular, then yeah, a remake would be a waste. However, very few people in the overall gaming populus have never played the Marathon Trilogy, let alone even heard of it. Not that I'm saying I WOULDN'T want a sequel; I do. It's just that I want SOMETHING new. And don't you say "scenerios." : Not to mention that remaking the game would prove to a lot of people that the : original was somehow deficient; that Bungie needed next-generation : hardware to truly be able to bring their story to life, establish a : variety of moods and atmospheres, and create an addictive gameplay : experience. I disagree...but I don't really know why. I just don't think the average gamer has even THOUGHT of that. Only a few Doom fanboys would see it as that, just to make Doom look better...but hey, whatever. : Alternatively, I don't like the implication that developing a modern game : (regardless of target platform) is such a long and expensive process that : you can't possibly risk wasting it on anything but a tried-and-tested : concept; in other words, a sequel, adaptation, or remake. Sure, Sure, that makes sense. : Agreed. Though it's easy to let that succumb to feature creep - I don't : suppose it would be possible to let scenario authors get their works : published on XBL alongside the trilogy, or to make Xbox versions of Forge : and Anvil? Also, would there be legal issues with the GPL? Good point.
