: Going from Infinity to "IV" would be a prequel, no? What it doesn't say on the whiteboard is, if Halo is any indication, if they make it now, it'll be Xbox 2-only, will have auto-aim to compensate for the dual analog controllers, the SPNKRs will be guided (sacrilege!), and all the terminals will be scarce on literary allusions and the story straightforward and linear, so as to appeal to the broadest audience possible. Is that really the Marathon IV we want? Maybe, if it gets people to play the older games. Maybe not, if it just makes people who haven't played the old ones think "What was all the fuss about all this time?" Either way, it's unlikely to appeal directly to us old fans :( | |
