: (On a side note, one beef I do have with trilogyrelease is that the Mac
: versions aren't clearly labeled as such; a Windows user might download
: them and wonder why they don't work, rather than scrolling down to A1/SDL
: Files for Windows . Also, the fine print still says
: "Windows-compatible versions coming soon".)
That's an error, the files themselves work fine provided you have Stuffit Expander for Windows, which is a free download, so that's all nonsense. That being said, anyone who can't read shouldn't be playing Marathon of all games anyway.
: There are minor inaccuracies as well. The original M1 did in fact have a
: Music file . M1's opening "swoosh" was stored in Sounds, not
: "hard coded MIDI". And since when does any version of AO refuse
: to play the original M2/Moo music files? Can anyone confirm this?
Deny. Music works fine in all versions of Aleph One.
: Sorry, man. But the next time you enter a forum for rabid fans of a game,
: consider that some of them might already know how to install it.
And drop the condescending attitude, too. "Hey, kiddies!"
