couple of questions

I'm making a map and have a few problems.

1) How do you make random sounds more random? I've got a thunder as a random sound and its just like *boom!**boom!* the whole time. very annoying, and you can't hear the night wind ambiant sound either.

2) A hunter keeps apearing in this one room where I didn't put a hunter. I had before, but then had taken it out. This really messes up the level, which is this gladiator type thing where you have different monster fight each other, which brings me to my last question

3) WHo came up with this idea? I know I saw someone mention it a few years ago or something, but I can't remeber. It was on this forum though.
