I couldn't agree more. That's why I found Infinity to be a dissapointment. Not that it isn't fun to play, but the repudiation of the excellent M2 story can't help but leave you wondering why. M2 will always be my favorite, followed perhaps by Rubicon, which does the nonlinear thing the right way.
