: Steve, it is possible to get out of the goo and head back to the alcoves. The
: floor of the goo pit slopes downward. The depth in the middle of the pit
: is just enough to provide the player enough momentum to get out of the
: goo. However, the player does take damage in getting back this way. So, if
: the Jugg is still alive (personally I take the time to kill it), Steve's
: alternative way is preferred.
Yes, I know, but unless you take out the monsters firing on you from above, it's tricky and often fatal. You take out the Jugger? With what? The only available ammo in Ch 1 is from what you kill, and it takes a lot of Pfhor fighter staffs to take down a Jugger, as we'll see in Ch 4.
