In Response To: Re: Eternal Volunteers - Boiler Room (Dr. John Sumner)

: Actually, I rather liked this level. The carnage on Total Carnage is fairly
: appropriate given the tight quarters for most of the level. As for the
: added room, be glad for the carnage it has. Earlier versions of this level
: had no enemies in that room at all.

Spoken like a true vidmaster. I found this level to be an enjoyable vid - very doable, even for the novice vidder - but challenging due to the tight quarters. I would have loved to have seen lava, though, as per some of Forrest's earlier ideas. And the water in a boiler room should be boiling - a perfect place for fog if someone could get it to work in AO, and staying in the water should gradually depleat the player's shields.

: Well, I want to put in a good word for that level now. If I had to pick my
: five favorite levels in all of Eternal, I would put Level 8 at or very
: near the top of my list. Adam, I would love to see you lead the discussion
: of that level.

I second that. It's too bad you didn't do that Marathon bridge level - if level 8 is any indication of what you can do, it would have been superb. You have talent. Do go ahead and lead the discussion on your own level - don't worry, we'll tear you apart if you get too cocky or anything.
