It would make more sense for the Gherrit White terminal to describe Durandal than it would the player. In plot terms, there's no reason for some strange psuedo-memory of the player to appear on the Marathon's computer logs. (also I maintain that the Marine is the battleroided version of Sgt. Eddings)
