I stand corrected - I always thought of the total conversion moniker as referring to the conversion to a free-standing game rather than a set of files to be dropped into an existing game folder. One thing, however - by your definition, EMR is not a total conversion either because there is one room that makes use of Pfhor sprites ala Devil in a Blue Dress.
