All she's missing are nipples and a toe. Tell me, considering her stance, that's not a depiction implying some level of sexuality. (actually don't, because you probably would :P - and that's not an insult, that's a demonstration of YMMV) Someone can be nude and not be sexual - except to people that find seeing someone nude a sexual stimulant. And specifically, in the context of Halo and the video game and my understanding of Cortana, there was nothing sexual about her, visually or otherwise, at least not as blatantly as in Halo 4. And in the context of the people with whom I regularly interact, her depiction in Halo 4 is far less 'neutral', and more of a barrier to me raving about the game amongst these people. That is a personal testimony, which may not be the same experience for many people, perhaps even most people, if they even care about the subject at all. This is why YMMV. : I could tell that. I don't know if you could tell I was saying it makes sense : to ask how relevant things like this... standard, I guess... still are, if : at all. The line keeps getting pushed, until what was once completely considered, say, immoral, eventually becomes second nature, normal, even acceptable to children, depending on who you talk to. Whether one considers this a Good or a Bad thing may differ from person to person. Personally, I like to think that some lines should not be constantly moved, just because a lax line is already making it more "normal". : I had to look for a few minutes to figure out what you changed (which says to : me that the differences aren't significant). Technically, they aren't significant, while on the whole, they are. Which is also a point. Why put such minute details in that change the whole perception so radically? : It looks like you softened : the shadows from her boobs and softened and blurred the edges, got rid of : her bellybutton, and made that little neck notch thing less pronounced. : Overall it looks like you tried to make her look more like she's wearing : some kind of catsuit (which I maintain is not an interpretation that : really reflects how she looked in the first place). I maintain that it does. I maintain that she certainly looks less like "a naked woman", and more like "Cortana". And that is the whole point. YMMV.
