I have seen Elites disappear in SpOps whilst they were shooting me. Not just weapons: actual NPCs, mid attack, whilst I was looking at them and shooting them. Often NPCs dies as soon as they are dead but some died without having being hit. I had obviously triggered new wave of enemies and the game needed to remove some of the old ones in order to fit the new enemies into ram or to afford the CPU/GPU cycles to run their AI or to render them. It's been a long time since I played campaign but I think that it was fairly quick to remove dropped weapons. Every Halo game is different. The first game seemed the least resource starved. H2 and Halo 4 seem to be the most resource starved. In h2 you could run around a corner then immediately run back to find that every enemy had been despawned as soon as they went out of sight. I don't think that Halo 4 was as bad as that but it did introduce the despawning of visible enemies who were shooting at you. : Huh? I find that bemusing. There has been a marked increase in realism. The latest is IMO the most anatomically correct. I don't think she has been hyper-sexualized but she is more real. I don't know what 343 can do about it. Naked Cortana was Bungie's idea. It doesn't bother me much. I've seen naked women before but, I suppose, it does slightly bother me from the perspective that she works for the military. She swans around the bridge naked whilst she is at work and nobody else does. And what does it say about her personality? Can you take her seriously as a professional? Does she just want to shock and put people off balance? Why would she want to do that? Why would she need to? Is she overcompensating for something? Maybe future mores are different. Maybe they only wear clothes because they may have to go outside or they don't want their bits to get caught on equipment which isn't really a problem for a hologram. But letting an AI float around naked does seem like quite an indulgence: if she can do it then why can't everybody else do it? My final comment is that I don't really mind, it didn't spoil the game for me. Maybe they should put a cat suit on her if they bring her back, maybe they could put rank insignia on it (what is her rank?).
