In Response To: MAJOR SPOILERS IN HERE (Louis Wu) : This really makes me sad. :( : It's a super-cool easter egg, and you have to go and ruin it by poking
: That sucks. :( If his code interpretation is correct (and being that this is kornman we're talking about here, I think it's safe to say that it is), then I don't think anybody would stumble upon this "egg" except purely by accident. I have a bad feeling this switch might be invisible, as if it wasn't, I would think somebody would have found it by now (and noticed that soft kill barriers and ceilings no longer affected the player). So far, Bungie has given us no real hints, other than the picture. What did we take away from it? The egg is on New Alexandria. Well, gee, that was [minimally] helpful. These hints-from-code that Korman has provided are the fuel that the community wants and needs to keep working towards figuring this out. Kornman didn't spoil anything, as far as I'm concerned, he just pointed us in the right direction. Bungie would have done the same exact thing in a little while -- Kornman just graciously sped up that process. He didn't ruin anybody's fun. If you still want to figure out the egg on your own, feel free. Me? I've got things to do, places to be, people to see. I'd rather have at least some initial guidance (more than "Hey the 'egg' is on New Alexandria") so that I don't feel like I'm wasting my time just flying aimlessly around New Alexandria. I'd like to fly a Pelican sometime this year and without the hints that Kornman just provided, I'm doubtful that we would have come close to it except by sheer dumb luck (lame).
