And a closer look at the new Seraph

In Response To: Updated vehicle scales (Bry)

Bungie really went all out on this one. It took this many games, but finally the Seraph is a bit more than a bit of scenery or a cinematic item.
And I suppose it has some special meaning too since the Seraph was one of the first vehicles ever created for Halo, even if it started off as a tank before becoming a star fighter.

But the changes go a bit deeper than purely cosmetic.
First a reminder of the Halo 2 one, the most prominent thus for since we could actually walk around it.

Ah memories, eh?

Well then, now let's have a little peek at the one in Reach:

And the most dramatic effect of the changes. Great big chunks of it are actually moving control surfaces.
On the front and the two tail booms.

The rear tail booms also flex up and down slightly when pitch is adjusted.
Makes it seem more like a living creature than a machine.

Not sure if that might be extra tricky to model in X-Plane, Mid7night.
But it looks awesome. =p
