In Response To: Dude, have you read the books Halo is based on? ([AMS] GreyThor) : Read Christopher Rowley's Starhammer and Vang books, as well as probably the : most important influence on the storyline, Larry Niven's Ringworld. After : you do that, get back to me. I'm a fan of Starcraft myself and the : similarities between both games have been examined to the point where : anything more and you'd be beating a very dead horse, but the way it : sounds you make it look like Bungie has no creative talent what-so-ever : when they designed the storyline. Read those four books, and you'll gain a : much higher appreciation for Halo and retract what you wrote. Actually, Halo has very little to do with Ringworld plot-wise. And other than the fact that they’re both on a massive structure shaped like a ring, they have very little in common setting wise either. Compare a mere Halo to something so massive that it has a life size map of *spoilz on a twenty + year old book* the entire Earth, with surface area left for well over 2 million more. It took me a while for the sheer scale of the Ringworld to set in. Looking back on the Halos, I want to flick them into their gas gaints with my little finger.
