Both are, well, slimy, icky, : and the last thing you'd want to see laying dead in your driveway. Both : have no self created tech. Both are the major enemy that the other two : races, in some instances, join together to defeat. Both were created by an : ancient race who is revered by the Protoss/Covenant and whose instinction : was because of the Zerg/Flood. : Well, that's my exhaustive parallel of Halo/Starcaft. Just to clarify, I : really don't see any similarity in the main plot, just in the aesthetics : and motivations/histories of the races themselves. As several others said, : many of these are unavoidable, and I agree. : ~I~ Good and neat summary, one quibble: in the course of IRIS (the recent arg preceding H3), it was made clear the flood were not created by the forerunners, but instead found by them and misunderstood until it was too late ("extragalactic in origin . . . it revealed it had done this before, elsewhere"). It seems to at least be inferred that the Flood precede the forerunners in some cosmic fashion. Mysterious, spooky, and not technologically-based, ultimately, the way the zerg were.
