: Can anyone point me toward documentation on the current best practice for
: packaging a complete scenario? As in... if I were to release a new version
: of Eternal, should I just have a folder with the map/shapes/etc and a
: scripts folder and a plugin folder and my data folder and that Fonts.fntA
: file, all zipped up, like every previous version, or is there a newer and
: better way of doing things now?
That's still the right way. Starting with 1.1 there will be no need to include the Fonts.fntA file--Courier Prime and ProFont are built in.
Atque may be new to you. it can merge/split maps and images files, and puts the resources into BMP or JPEG form, so no more ResEdit or MacBinary.
For OS X, we now support all-in-one applications. If you want to set that up, you need to be able to compile from source, and make some changes in Xcode. One of us can walk you through that if you want to go that route.
: I found the documentation on the plugin format on SourceForge but I'm not
: clear whether that applies to a full scenario, especially considering that
: said full scenario contains some plugins within itself.
That's just for plugins.
