I have contemplated that possibility before but the timing makes no sense as the star has only been passing through our galaxy for about a millennium and definitely no Halo-backstory-scale galactic cataclysm happened in that time period or we would remember it. Also the Jjaro are supposed to have been gone from the galaxy for millions of years already by the time of the games, so that being the site of their last stand, only a thousand years ago, doesn’t fit either.
Unless perhaps this rogue star was ejected from the galaxy much longer ago (like some kind of lifeboat perhaps?), and only began returning around a thousand years ago, which is a possibility I have contemplated before too.
