I don't. It sounds incredibly shark-jumpy, fanfictiony, gimmicky, and just plain bad. The idea was dropped for a reason.

Though, come to think of it, the "infrared" could have been modified to show everything in a green monochrome for the cyberspace world. I call it the Durandalvision.
