I was thinking in terms of the Hunters and Enforcers. I'd also heard an interesting theory that the pfhor are in general an evolutionary based society; the more evolved your pfhor race or clan is, the higher rank you will start off at in military or other spacefaring areas.
It could just be that they higher more evolved insect forms for higher ranks like the Metroids as above, with some higher ones being comparable to warlike versions of the Buggers from the Ender saga, but this theory could also work, even if it's just ends up being used for non canon settings.
The original point about wasps potentially being Pfhor larvae would also still stand.
