Heh, that pfhor ship level is actually what I was referring to. So that... cylindrical object you release is their escape pod? Okay. That's what that level was all about =)
So everything that was needed to be done to make k'lia and the s'pht'kr return and destroy Tycho's ship was already accomplished in Abandoned Rental Trucks, and Thoth just sent us there to aid the humans which serves no ostensible benefit to the s'pht that created him. That's very altruistic of him. But from all the speculation on his story page, his altruism extends to everything, including the pfhor, leading to the whole 'Blake isn't real and Durandal faked his death' conspiracy theories and yada yada yada.
