: I wasn't quite clear what polygon you were referring to but I now see it's
: the one directly in front of The Three Crushers. I presume this was turned
: to Monster Impassable to prevent the Fighters following you to their
: inevitable death.
: After playing the original game on TC, I can say that that a Fighter whether
: berserked or not will follow you onto this Monster Impassable polygon.
: Whether they follow you or not is a bit hit or miss. Sometimes they just
: won't follow you other times they will. I could not pin down what caused
: the different actions. Door closed, door open, door closing, door opening,
: it just didn't seem to matter. Based on repeated playing they tend NOT to
: follow more than they will follow you. So you are probably remembering the
: more common outcome of the two possible outcomes.
: When playing beta 2 I am getting pretty much the same behaviour as the
: original game.
Based on my recent experiences with the mysteries of Jug behavior on Try Again, I think relying on our recollections of playing the original Marathon years and years ago to evaluate the subtleties of monster AI in the betas should be leavened with a measured amount of skepticism regarding its accuracy, unless our faded memories can be confirmed by current play testing.
Just saying is all. :)
