Rubicon technical troubles and RED question
Posted By: ChazDate: 11/25/08 1:35 p.m.

Hi!

I discovered Marathon a few years ago through Aleph One. Lots of fun! Glad Bungie gave their fans and non-fans alike a chance to play all the games for free.

My favorite scenarios are Red, Rubicon X, Evil, and M2 and Infinity. I want to make my own levels, myself, but I don't have a Mac to use Forge with. :(

On to the point, I'm trying to play Marathon Rubicon on the 9-13-08 build. AFAIK I have all components in place but with OpenGL on the pretty enhanced graphics and Rubicon-specific graphics tricks don't work. The enhanced weapon sprites don't work, funky texture tricks like in the Things May Happen levels don't work right, and generally it looks fugly.

Any suggestions on how to make it pretty again would be appreciated. :D

Also: I downloaded the 1.1 beta mapset the Marathon community made for Marathon RED and the terminal images don't show up. Any idea how to fix this?
