In Response To: *Ar-Isildur (Ar-Anarion) I carry the reputation of a heartless and callous individual with pride. I do my best to ignore displays of emotion, and only treated Brian as if he was just another one of the guys, no more, no less. His whole "<3" thing put me off quite a bit, and even though I knew about his history of cancer, I didn't say much regarding it. To my shame, I've never wished him well or anything that all of you good people have done, but have instead just greeting him normally upon his returns. I'm not a religious person, but I can only hope that I'm wrong, and that something good has come of this. We can all use Brian as a role model, a person that we can strive to be more like. He was very courageous, probably far more than anyone of us could have been, while fighting cancer for so long. There aren't really any words that can express my feelings. For he who was taken from us before his time, we mourn thee. Joe Barrett | |
