Street Fighter is by definition, a aggressive and competitive game. Just is. Obviously every game wants you to win and wants to reward you, but SF is an intense 3 minute, wail-on-each-other festival of kung-fu maddness. If you are really into that, and really good at it, you've have followed a long and lonley path and hopefully come to truly grok the "gameness" of the game. I believe our author has reached this plateau. To be a Street Fighter, you must play to win. It's the whole point. Other games, like...oh, let's see, what game should I use as an example...ummmm, like Halo have a great deal more to offer. I really enjoy playing Legendary and being challenged and having to play to win. It's one way to play. I enjoy goofing around and just having a good time too...maybe even more. He's right about one thing though...Voyager could have gotten back a lot quicker. | |
