Well... that's debatable.

For those of us who firmly believe in Bungie's intent AND ability to follow through on their promise to deliver Halo to the Mac and PC, this situation of being "out of sync" should be understood.

I think like most people in that category, when I saw the Shacknews article that was my first thought.

However, no matt much I or anyone else believes in Bungie's intent and ability, it is still *plausible*, in theory, that a large company might change direction and override the judgment of those in subordinate positions. It's happened before.

However unlikely, it's theoretically possible that Mac/PC Halo *could" have been cancelled at virtually any time since the purchase, and I'd put money on it being considered internally at least once since then, perhaps twice.

Basically, there are a lot more (justifiably) skeptical would-be fans out there on the forums than there are employees in MS PR & Marketing. Easier for them to stay on the ball than it is to convince everyone that Matt's infallible and DiCesar ill-informed.

Of course, that is, until Halo is released on the Mac and PC, which makes the latter infinitely easier. :)
