I guess it all depends on what's considered 'current' when the game finally ships for the mac. It's the typical trade-off of satisfying the largest userbase (read: not the best/current equipment) and letting the game shine in the best light. The exact reason why console development is so much less of a headache in that regard since you have a consistent hardware base and can instead concentrate on other more important aspects of the game. Even if I *could* play it on my G3 bronze powerbook, would I want to as Jason asked? I'd imagine the quality and 'immersiveness' of the game would suffer from such an old processor and video subsystem. Kudos if they can make it work, but I'd certainly not suggest that that would be the optimal way to play something like Halo. : Random thought, anyone still have the Halo Wazzzup video somewhere? It's around, I have it on a drive somewhere. Maybe Louis will point you to a mirror or something.
