MAGs advice sounds best. Can't remember exactly what I did. I vaguely recall tossing plasma grenades into the tubes as they were filing out hoping to get one to stick and kill a group or tossing the frag grenades into the area below the tubes so that when the Flood drop down onto the floor the explosion would catch 'em. Then just toss another grenade and get back in a corner with a shotgun and do the usual dodge and kill routine. In that case, I'd work on your timing skills with the grenades. That just involves getting a sense of when the grenade is going to go off in relation to the rate and distance of the Flood. Can't do that with strategy, however. Just takes practice. The advantage of the "bait, retreat, attack" strategy in conjunction with these near no-win situations, is that when you do get beat to single red health indicator of your precious Spartan life, and you do come upon the next health pack, it'll last so long and you'll have so many health packs to burn (well at least one or two extra), that in next near no-win scenario, you'll be fully charged to withstand a full onslaught in an enclosed space. These things get interconnected: if you are going into an impossible situation with low health, it's going to take you that much longer to get through, because in such a situation, the blow that beats you down could have been the blow that only "almost beat you down" whereupon you would have been working through the next stage of the Library. |
