: Turns out the ER doctor who did the spinal tap did a really bad job, and I
: was leaking spinal fluid. What did that mean? Headaches about 10x worse
: than the migraine... I don't know if I can explain that any better than to
: say that the headaches were so bad that you would take the pain
: medication, but the pain was so strong anyway that you would vomit (lose
: the pain med) and then the pain would be so strong that it would send you
: into shock. Well... I went into shock at a bank teller window, and was
: promptly rushed back to the ER... WHERE THEY TOLD ME TO PLEASE BE SEATED
: AND WAIT TO BE REGISTERED....

: Well... after displaying just how "in shock" I was to the entire
: waiting room, I was quickly rushed back into an ER room... but this time I
: lucked out and got good doctors (and a cute nurse,) and they gave me a
: blood patch (that's blood sucked from your arm and injected into the
: spinal tap wound to patch over the leak.) The pain was gone almost
: immediately... but they hit a few nerves in my hip... so I'm in much
: better shape... just walking like a 90yr old with arthritis... but feeling
: much better and hopefully playing Halo soon againi.

Wow. All I can say is, I'm glad you're okay.:)

Man. Sometimes you just gotta wonder... most doctors are great, and do everything they can to help patients, but every once in a while something goes wrong. I just can't figure out why when things START going wrong, sometimes someone gets in your situation... where EVERYONE screws up. It's weird.

Glad you're okay, though... you've still got 2 days to get a Maw film in. :)
