I know it seems un-likely, but if they did it would explain the : covenants impressive hatred towards humanity. ( I had too much in my : head!!! ) ok, I'll add to this. what if that's why the Covenant think that all the humans should be eradicated? maybe in the end, the Covenant would actually have been on our side apart from this. (or maybe something else, such as us attacking Covenant first. humans do that? never :P ) maybe they came to make peace with us, and then we turned around and blew up their ships? who knows or dares to dream
