: 1st and Halo took second, I would still be upset, but a skateboarding game

My guess is that they judged graphics and sound based on the hardware it was running on.

Still, I think Gamespot did a pretty fair analysis of each of the games... their reason for not giving Halo the GOTY award was a lack of internet multiplayer, if I remember correctly.
