I have nobody seen playing Halo, neither in a store or in the counterless movies aiming different. I do suppose you are by now used to this style of aiming and you don't notice anymore, but be said, there is a difference! : It slides around like crazy because you don't know what the hell you're : doing. Watch someone who knows how to use the jeep - you'll find that : while it fishtails at times, it's pretty damn controllable. I'm currently : on a level where I have very little ammo, and a pair of hunters and a pair : of elites to take out. The elites are protected by a stationary gun, the : hunters aren't. I find that killing the hunters with the warthog is by FAR : the easiest way to go... then I snipe out the elites. (I'd use the warthog : on them, too, but all the shooting that happens then brings a banshee : around... and then when I try to get out of my jeep and into another : banshee, I get run over.) I don't blame that it could not be drive, I fact I only got difficulties when the camerea started to rotate around like crazy. You just not get the point. I does not matter if you take the warthog or a cube and slide it over the ground. My feeling about rubber, tires and grass-rock ground says me that it should not slide as if it where on ice. And indeed that it does. Go play Insane or Redneck offroad or 4x4 evolution to find out what real tire grip is!! : Bottom line - the jeep manouvers wonderfully, for those who have taken some : small amount of time to master it. What I do blame about the steering handling is, that you can never master a vehicle fully if you have no direct control over it's basic steering mechnisms. I can imagine that after some training the interface does all the steering you need for you, but you will NEVER master your car as if you where turning the wheel(nubble?) yourself. : Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear. The camera rotates that way for you because : you keep your finger on the directional stick the whole time - it happened : to me at first, too. Once you get better, you'll start to NOTICE what your : hands are doing, and the camera won't spin like that. Point for you, and till now the only true one. : So... don't jump so much. :) If you would play flashpoint, wich I do, you would know that I can fairly good handle with not jumping at all. But still it remains, that you are a floating target if you jump, wich you are not in reality nor in most of the other fps games. If you want to avaid the bunny effect make it like wolfenstein, but not with some lama duckass action. : (I find jumping useful to get up onto things, or over things. I'm not sure : why you're jumping randomly during a firefight... unless that's your : chosen playstyle in other fps's, and you just can't seem to realize that : it doesn't work well here. If you were on a real battlefield, would you : start jumping up and down everywhere? (That's a rhetorical question - if : you don't know the outcome of that sort of activity, I hope you never : serve in any armed forces.) : As I said, I haven't seen this sort of behavior. 2-3 meters is about the : distance from your eyes to the ground - so unless you were UNDER the tank, : you're probably underestimating the distance. Open point. I do not play quake, and I do give a damm lot on story. I would prefer if all FPS out there would have a realy good coop mode.
