: I always assumed the underskin of the Spartan's suits was pretty
: bullet-resistant. The lack of rigid armor was the tradeoff for being far
: more free in their range of motion.

They also have something called shields. :P

I was talking about making a set of armour styled after Halo, but using current technology like this example for sale.
We don't have anything close to a fully flexible bullet resistant dermal suit.
Dragon skin is one of the closest examples we have and was really hoped to revolutionise this by providing a lighter, more flexible body armour solution... But there is a ton of controversy and conflicting information around it.

Still, even though the plates for this are made out of dragon skin, it would be rather inadvisable to use this set as actual body armour. The arms and legs are probably better off, but the torso (which is kinda more important), not so much, lol!

Also, this is the 2nd time I've had a front page mention for calling into question technical details.
Last time was about the definition of 'fit' in regards to M1A1 MB Tanks in relation to Pelican troop bays. :P
