In Response To: There's only one way to land a man from orbit. (Quirel) The "parachuted rocket" to stabilize the tumble and the skycrane to slow down the whole system without incinerating the lil' dude were very clever ideas. One critic over canon, however, is that we see the M-Spec RU pretty much closed up, I mean, no cables dangling around. One solution is mentioning the release (through blasting bolts :D ) of the cables. The "parachuted rocket" releases right before the skycrane thrusters kick in and the skycrane right after landing the pilot (in that self-landing phase you mentioned). Great job, man. Not only on the unit itself, but on the text.
