In Response To: Visualizing the Halo Universe: Round 6 (Postmortem)

: Visualizing the Halo Universe
: Round 6: Human

: Remember, feedback on artwork is appreciated and encouraged.

: This marks the first round to follow the newly implemented schedule, and I'm
: excited to see what comes from it. Without further ado, here's the subject
: for the next two weeks.

: Subject:

: M-Spec Reentry Pack Post Deployment

: Specifications:

: - Show an M-Spec Reentry Pack after it has deployed
: - Keep in mind that it was designed for Sabre pilots, and has room to store
: emergency gear, including a pistol

: Sources:

: Halo: Reach

: Details:

: The Sabre program was a secret initiative to develop a UNSC starfighter
: capable of doing battle with Covenant ships on equal footing. It was top
: secret, denied by three administrations, but saw use during the Fall of
: Reach, when Noble Team used one to destroy the Long Night of Solace in a
: daring hijack maneuver. Its pilots were known to be both augmented
: Spartan-IIIs, as well as unaugmented Navy pilots.

: The M-Spec Reentry Pack was built into the back of each Sabre's seat, and
: automatically attached itself to the occupant upon entry. In the case of
: an emergency evacuation, the pack was designed to allow the pilot to
: survive atmospheric entry without vehicular protection. Spartan-B312
: "Noble Six", used one during the Fall of Reach to escape the
: destruction of the Long Night of Solace , landing near New Alexandria.
: Although Noble Six sustained minor injuring during the fall, the reentry
: pack was never seen in deployment.

: Extra Credit:

: - Show a step-by-step of its deployment.
: - Include a pilot and place them into a scene.

: - - -

: Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. Remember you have two weeks
: to submit your entries.

: Good luck! :)

No freakin' way. I was just playing Reach the other day and I thought "hey, this would be a great subject for VtHU."
