In Response To: Re: Can't wait for high definition video. (Bry) This is what I'm using I have the 6 plug A/V adapter (ie, component) for the Xbox going into that device. Then, for the device's out I'm just using regular old composite for the rinky dink TV I have this hooked up to. If I had an HDMI capture device, I'd use it with an HDMI TV (the current TV's picture is like watching the video with drunk goggles heh). I've been eying the elgato game capture HD device as a potential replacement... With that said, I had the A/V adapter selector switch set to TV. I'll try it again later with it switched to HDTV. The capture device doesn't have any switches. This was on a devkit, which doesn't boot into the normal dashboard as retail xboxes do. However, the system tools at the dev dash has video options which I could have sworn I set to 720p or whatnot. Of course, the signal from my TV to the capture device to the Xbox may have reverted this setting. Or the selector switch on the adapter itself did. This is why I have friends who record the videos I eventually put on youtube :P. Unfortunately, for these situations I have to take matters into my A/V-ignorant hands.
