I just want to back up Bry's point. I've been in a few countries where this was also illegal. You didn't even want to have a camera in your hand when near military posts. A lot of places don't even want you taking pictures of police or police stations. We nearly landed in a lot of hot water last year when one of the guys I was traveling with stupidly took a picture of a checkpoint in Mexico. After a lot of desperate talking he got by with only his pictures erased.
