Twenty hours of work into that baby. Worth it.
: While this didn't technically adhere to the rules for this round (since this

: that for the sake of the more important part of this contest, which is
: attention to fiction. Seriously, this is really what the contest is about:

: submission doesn't visualize the fiction with a level of detail higher
: than any we've seen so far. The fully-fleshed out description built around
: Staten's own in Contact Harvest , in addition to the new aspects of the
: ships story added by Quirel, really brought this entire thing together.
In Contact Harvest, we only got the description of the ship and the fact that it was a freighter. The name, the company that made it, what it actually looked like, that was all up in the air.
I've thought about what the freighters look like before this contest, and even if there was no chance that this would win anything, I think I would have designed the freighter anyway.
Of course, speaking from a completely, 100% unbiased viewpoint, visualizing the Halo universe is what this contest is about, and as the freighter has no canon illustration, it's fair game. ; )

: pod & CMA countermeasures, Kaiser Sergei,
Kaiser Sergei isn't mine, he's the brainchild of Electromotive Force over on Fanfiction.net. Hopefully, this will give us enough inspiration to finish that collaborative short-story.
