To be fair, for a lot of cultures, dubbing is serious business. I mean, for Latin-American populations, the moment they got rid of the original voices of The Simpsons, it was the moment we knew it had jumped the shark so high it had smacked its' face over Jupiter, and no one watches Dragonball Kai because of the different voices (Why those two examples? In the nineties, those two were cultural icons for us, in a way).

The original latin-american dubbing for Halo 2 was atrocious, hence why they eventually got another dubbing house to do their work for them. While I can see Soutauro Tojima wanting to get different voices for the characters as a japanese man himself, changing voices when people have already got used to the old ones usually ends in a PR disaster. While Jack Sparrow sounds like a drunkard in the Latin-American version of Pirates of the Caribbean instead of the rogue he sounds like in english (I believe it is intentional form of Woolseysming), I don't know if changing it now would be accepted, for instance..

One thing I've always like to see, though, is see how they sound both in spanish and english. Sometimes I'd like it if there were packs allowing you to play the campaign in a specific language, without having to buy a different disc (and in some cases, regional 360). I wonder if the same dubbing house will remain for the Latin-American version...
