I'm at version 2.1.7 right now and will be releasing it at v2.2.0. I noticed the guard rails from the video, but have been leaving them out to cut down on the poly count and chance of Lag. From what I saw of the video, you're right about it being more enclosed then my version. I'm working on fixing that. A ton more detail has been shown in the recent MLG videos that help.
