Man, I don't like a single one of these, at all. | |

In Response To: Halo 4 S-IV Armor/Helmets (Train Dodger) : So far, including screenshots and pre-order bonuses, we've seen 13 different : S-IV helmets in Halo 4, and some armor sets (mostly in concept drawing : form): Warrior - Looks like a welding helmet. For welding Covenant and : Forerunner together with a captured Plasma Pistol. : Soldier - If you listen hard enough, you can hear Linkin Park blaring
: Scout - One of my favorites from Halo 3 returns, mostly-intact. : Recon - Again, not bad. A little mauled, but it turned out okay. : HAZOP - Oh my god, he's got like... horns, and stuff! : Infiltrator - I think I saw this in a manga somewhere. : Orbital - The EVA-style helmets have never really been that attractive to
: Oceanic - If you ever wanted to be a Big Daddy from Bioshock, now's your
: CIO - Sam Fisher! : Venator - Isaac Clarke! : Gungnir - Probably one of my favorite helmets from Halo: Reach. It makes
: Deadeye - Evangelion, LOL! : Locus - Moar liek Locust, amirite? In my opinion, every single one of these looks terrible. I'm talking just physical, not the demo'd color schemes. To me, these helmets and the armor seem unnecessarily detailed and complicated, as if they are just trying to make something protrude here or concave there just because they can. It's like they are trying to show off all the technical details they can do with their game engine by making the armor look as fancy and flashy as possible....the visors in particular, ho boy. This is mostly the CE purist and 405th part of me speaking, but damn, there is just something sexy simple about the MK V that I absolutely love. Not really a big fan of the MK VI but in this case the same thing applies. I don't mind functional change, but change for the sake of change is something that I just don't understand. And before anybody gets all stuck up about it, I'm sure I'll find SOMETHING in the armory I'll like, but so far I am just not digging these armor variants we've seen at ALL. Anyone else agree?
