In Response To: T3 - T2 comparison isn't fair to anything. *NM* (SIX min WHISTLE) So, how about Disney direct-to-video sequels? How the majority of them basically tell the same story with roles reversed or something along those lines? How few, if any, are held in a similar regard to the originals? Point is, there's little point in ever telling the same story IMO, no matter how good that story may be. The only time this really works to any great extent is when the story is told in different settings. Taking 'Fire Emblem' as an example, the majority of games basically conform to the same archeatypes in terms of characters and nations. This is still enjoyable because of the different settings, but also the reason why I consider 'Path of Radiance'/'Radiant Dawn' to be the best sub-series because while some archeatypes were present, there was a different dynamic with the beorc/laguz tensions that previous games didn't have. Same issue with H4. At the very least, it does seem to have a different feel to 'Combat Evolved,' even though similarities can be drawn. Hopefully it will diverge even further.
