I'm actually quite fond of Brutalism as well.
For example, most of Gattaca, Aeon Flux film and Equilibrium have the most beautiful architecture, IMO.
On the other hand, I can easily see why most people don't really like it. I just can't quite put my finger on why the cons never bothered me...
