In Response To: Futurism (Hawaiian Pig) : Vari Hall, 1990 : Say what? Where'd the 90 degree angles go??? That picture of Vari Hall that you posted gave me a huge flashback. I knew I had seen it before. So I looked it up... I've been there. In 2005 or so my High School's Orchestral Band traveled there from Northeast Ohio to compete there. I remember looking up from just about that angle and really enjoying the architecture. Anyway. Just thought it was pretty cool that I happened to visit the University of someone I've played Halo with and actually was able to make the connection. Isn't the internet grand? PS> On Topic. I can appreciate the reasoning for brutalist architecture but I think the human buildings you see in halo are a little but more stylistic. At least in Halo 3 you see more brutalist shapes and designs but with a greater use of color. In Halo 2 some of the city levels definitely had the look, however.
