In Response To: Re: The Future of Halo (scarab) : What would happen if the BR was unlockable and a player who had not yet : unlocked it killed a player who was equiped with one? : Could the killer pick it up? : Should he be prevented from picking it up? : Does he unlock it by taking it; will he respawn with it if killed or be able
I think this will work like other FPS games where you can unlock weapons: you can use any guns/armor pieces you scavenge during the game, but they are only unlocked for use in your Loadouts when you complete whatever requirement in the game. So no, I don't think you'd respawn with the BR if you haven't unlocked it yet. : In campaign if you want a power weapon then you generally have to pry it from
: What about armor pieces? What if I killed you and took your nifty shoulder
I think when you respawn, your Loadout equips you with your set of weapons and armor pieces again. You don't have to fight to get it all back. That would be pretty frustrating to die at the beginning of the match, have the enemy steal your customized Loadout, and then be prevented from using you Loadout until you can steal it back from him. : Should you be robbed for only the duration of the one match or forever? (until you buy new shoulders) : How would you feel about being robbed of stuff that you unlocked or paid for? Would you whine or
I think the idea of taking somone's Loadout is just a temporary thing. Once you take it, you only have it until you die. When you respawn, you would have just your Loadout available, with whatever weapons/armor pieces you've unlocked.
