I think it would be wise to remember that is a pretty unique time, especially for a community titled "Halo.Bungie.Org". I think powerful emotions and passionate responses would only make sense for the first new Halo not made by Bungie. There has been uninformed, stubborn negativity, but there has also been informed and cautious criticism - the first just tends to be loud and more invasive. There WILL be a schism - there will be groups of Halo-lovers, Halo and Bungie-lovers, and Bungie lovers created in the coming months, in all communities. Hopefully HBO will be one of the places that all those groups can interact civilly.
